A Travelers Rest man died after a motorcycle crash along Highway 276 in northern Greenville County Sunday night, according to troopers with the SC Highway Patrol.
Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said 61-year-old James Cisson of Belvue Road was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, heading east when the motorcycle ran off the road near Tugaloo Road, hit a mailbox and a utility pole.
The crash happened just before 10:30 p.m.
Cisson was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
Evans said an autopsy will be performed Monday to determine a cause and manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation.
