Worcester, MA : 47-year-old bicyclist injured in crash with car on Main Street at Oread Street on Wednesday, April 20, 2016

A 47-year-old bicyclist was injured in a crash with a a 2006 Pontiac Torrent on Main Street at Oread Street about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the man suffered face, shoulder and leg injuries that were not life-threatening. After receiving treatment at the scene, he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The bicyclist was pedaling north on Main Street and the Pontiac was going south on Main Street when they collided as the motorist attempted to turn left onto Oread Street, police said in a news release. The driver, whom police did not identify, was not injured.

The police crash reconstruction unit was called to investigate. No citations have been issued and the investigation was continuing Wednesday, police said.
