Woodstock, NY : 1 Dead, 2 Injured in Head-on Crash in Woodstock on Friday, 14th April 2023

One person has died and two others are injured after a head-on crash on Route 171 in Woodstock on Friday night.

State police said 38-year-old Tyler Sparks, of Woodstock Valley, was traveling west on Route 171 around 8:15 p.m. when he crossed into the eastbound lane and hit another vehicle head-on.

According to investigators, Sparks was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a passenger inside of the other vehicle were taken to Day Kimball Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
