GARWOOD, NJ : Injured driver had bloody head, was 'screaming in pain,' crash witness says on Friday, 26th August, 2016
One man was injured Friday when the pick-up truck he was driving eastbound on North Avenue swerved into the westbound lane and collided almost head-on with a school bus, police confirmed.
The accident occurred at about 12:25 p.m., just west of Anchor Avenue in Garwood, police said. Witnesses said the driver of the pick-up was badly injured.
"He had blood all over his head, (and was) screaming in pain," said Elizabeth Graf-Adams, who was in a nearby store when the crash occurred.
Police said a third vehicle a car that was behind the pick-up swerved off the road to avoid the collision, and struck a building just off North Avenue, then continued for about 50 yards before coming to a stop.
