PINELLAS PARK, FL : A 17-year-old from St. Petersburg was killed in a crash on Wednesday, 7th March 2018

A 17-year-old from St. Petersburg was killed Wednesday night in a crash on 49th Street N.

Police say Teo Kulic was driving a 2012 Mazda 5 southbound on 49th Street N, near 70th Avenue N, in the center lane around 8 p.m. when he was struck in the intersection by a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by 71-year-old Walter H. Fulford, of Pinellas Park.

Fulford was approaching a yellow traffic signal and turning onto 70th Avenue N when the crash occurred, police said.

Kulic died at an area hospital, police said, and Fulford suffered serious injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
