North Adams, MA : 62-year-old North Adams resident killed in two-car accident on Friday October 16 2015

Police identified a 62-year-old city resident as the person who suffered a fatal injury in a serious two-car accident on Massachusetts Avenue on Friday.They said Anthony Corsi died after his 2010 Rav 4 collided with a 2005 GMC utility truck operated by Matthew Reynolds, 29, of North Adams.Also inside Reynolds' truck were three children. Reynolds and the children were taken to Berkshire Medical Center's North Adams campus for emergency treatment, along with Corsi. It is unknown whether Corsi died at the hospital or before arrival.
Injuries suffered by Reynolds and the children were deemed by police to be "non-life-threatening," according to police.
The crash occurred in the area of 500 Massachusetts Ave., near the River Street intersection, around 3:25 p.m., and required the closure of the road until roughly 8 p.m.
Corsi was traveling eastbound and veered, striking Reynolds' truck in the westbound lane, according to the initial accident analysis.
A Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team remains at work determining the exact cause. In addition to state police, city police, fire and ambulance responded to the scene Friday afternoon.
North Adams Police posted about "the serious nature" of the wreck soon after it occurred and reported the closure of Massachusetts Avenue east of Roberts Drive and River Street west of Brown Street.
