Dallas, TX : A woman is dead after a crash in Northwest Dallas on Sunday, 22nd April 2018

A woman is dead after a crash early Sunday in Northwest Dallas.

Mario Borjas, 31, was arrested after he allegedly ran a flashing red light about 1 a.m. Sunday while driving west through the intersection of Northaven Road and Marsh Lane, police said.

A vehicle driving south on Marsh Lane collided with Borjas' vehicle, sending it spinning. A passenger in the front seat was thrown from Borjas' vehicle as it went over a curb and rolled onto its left side.

The passenger, Leann Sanchez, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. No further details about Sanchez were released.
