A Gibsonton man was killed after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle

At about 5 p.m., Dexteroy Justin Brown, 20, was turning left in a 2012 Mazda from US 41 to eastbound Riverview Drive, crossing the path of a motorcycle driving north, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man operating the motorcycle, Rodney Curtiss Sutton, 58, crashed into the passenger side of the Mazda when the car made the turn. Sutton was thrown onto the road after being ejected from the bike, according to FHP, and died at the scene.

Brown suffered minor injuries.
