Newark, DE :Lanes re-opened after crash on I-95 in Newark on Monday, July 6th 2015

An accident on I-95 southbound caused late night traffic for travelers Monday after a crash had multiple lanes shuttered.Just after 9:30 p.m., Delaware Department of Transportation issued a warning for drivers to expect delays following the accident on the southbound side of the roadway just before Del. 72. The crash was cleared and all lanes re-opened at 10:52 p.m.DelDOT cameras along I-95 showed the backup stretching past the Delaware Welcome Center rest stop about 2 miles north of the accident for more than an hour.State Police did not respond to a request for information about the accident. Police radio reports indicate the accident involved three vehicles and oil spilled on the roadway.
