LAFAYETTE, LA : One dead, one airlifted after crash in LaFayette on Thursday, 6th December 2018

LAFAYETTE – A head-on collision Thursday morning resulted in the death of one person and another being airlifted from the scene, according to Chambers County Sheriff Sid Lockhart.

The crash occurred around 7 a.m. on County Road 83 just a mile outside of LaFayette, near Chambers County Road 89.

Zachary Nelson Tyler Ford, 29, was killed when the 2011 Nissan Altima he was driving collided with a 2007 Honda Accord, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Ford, from Salem, was pronounced dead at the scene.
