FITCHBURG, WI : Passengers severely injured in Fitchburg crash on Monday, 23rd October 2023

Two people were seriously injured Monday morning in a crash that closed a Dane Co. highway for several hours, the Fitchburg Police Department reported in an update.

According to the FPD statement, the wreck happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. along County Hwy. MM, between Schuster Road and Schneider Drive and left both vehicles severely damaged.

Emergency crews helped free the people who were in the vehicles, and they were all taken to the hospital for treatment. The FPD statement did not indicate how many people were in the vehicles at the time, but it noted some of them suffered significant – and potentially life-threatening – injuries.
