Lee County, FL : Man dies after in a crash on Thursday July 3rd 2014

Florida Highway Patrol confirms an accident Thursday in Lee County claimed the life of a 43-year-old man.

Troopers said Patrick Scott Butz of Lehigh Acres was thrown from his 2004 Ford Mustang when it hit a utility pole and tree on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway.

Butz lost control according to troopers, while heading south as he approached Miromar Lakes Boulevard E in the outside lanes. The car

left the road, hit a utility pole and tree. Butz was transported to Lee Hospital Thursday and died from his injuries Friday, July 4th.
