Ocala, FL : Dunnellon woman dies following a single-vehicle crash in Ocala Sunday afternoon, April 2, 2017

A 24-year-old Dunnellon woman died following a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at County Road 464 (Maricamp Road) and Hickory Road in Ocala.

A press release from the Florida Highway Patrol states that Lynn Humphress was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry west on CR 464, with Crystal Anderson, 24, of Ocala, as a passenger. As the car was traveling west, around 4:30 p.m., several witnesses told troopers, the driver lost control and the car hit the median, then overturned.

According to the release, Humphress was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center, where she died at 8:58 p.m. Anderson also was taken to ORMC. Her condition was not immediately available early Monday.

FHP officials said Humphress was not wearing a seat belt.
