Carlsbad, NM : One dead in fatal crash north of Roswell on Monday afternoon, July 11, 2016

An Artesia boy is dead following a fatal crash just north of Roswell on Monday afternoon. The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m.

New Mexico State Police said Romeo King, 15, was driving near mile marker 166 on U.S. 285 when his vehicle overturned several times, killing him.

A passenger in the vehicle was treated for minor injuries and was released, investigators said.

State police said the crash is still under investigation.
