Ardmore, OK : Kingston woman killed in Highway 70 crash on Tuesday, 8th May 2018
The Oklahoma Highway patrol is reporting that 48-year-old Gwendolyn S. Rose, of Kingston, died Wednesday after the 2000 Toyota Avalon she was a passenger in collided with a 2016 Kenworth semi truck. According to trooper reports, the collision occurred on US Highway 70, west of Mockingbird Road in the city limits of Oakland, in Marshall County.
According to trooper reports, the Avalon was traveling westbound on US Highway 70 and for an unknown reason went left of center and struck the semi head-on, while the semi was traveling eastbound.
Rose was transported by Marshall County EMS to Alliance Health in Madill where she was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at Alliance Health due to massive injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the Avalon, John W. Gladden, 50, of Albany, was transported by Air Evac to Plano Medical Center in Plano, Texas where he was admitted in critical condition with arm, leg and trunk internal injuries. A second passenger in the Avalon, Amber L. Worchester, age 45 of Kingston, was also transported by Air Evac to Plano Medical Center in Plano where she was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
