Dalton, GA : One female driver was injured in a single-vehicle crash at Waring Road south of Scarlet Drive On Sunday, July 24th, 2016

One female driver was airlifted to Chattanooga for treatment following a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Waring Road south of Scarlet Drive.

Whitfield County deputies said only one vehicle and one person where involved, but no other details were available Sunday night as the Georgia State Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
Part of the roof of a large white SUV had to be removed by firefighters to safely removed the injured driver. The vehicle appeared to have left the road and struck a tree down a sharp embankment on the east side of Waring Road.

The driver was treated in an ambulance near Scarlet Drive before being moved into the helicopter and flown away.
