Scott County, MN : Scott City woman injured in two-vehicle crash in Scott County on Tuesday October 11 2016

A Scott City woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Scott County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Douglas A. Stegman, 50, Marienthal, was southbound on U.S. Highway 83 in a 2007 Peterbilt semi truck at about 12:28 p.m. when he slowed down to make a right turn onto County Road 100. Brittany A. Eitel, 26, Scott City, who also was southbound on U.S. 83 in a 2011 GMC Yukon, then struck the rear of Stegman’s truck.

Eitel was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, but her condition was not available. Stegman was uninjured.

According to the KHP, Eitel was not wearing a seat belt, and Stegman was wearing one.
