Indianola , IA : 33 - Years old man was killed and six others were injured after The maroon Jeep was Collided with a Chevrolet on Monday evening , December 15th 2014

Authorities have released the names of those involved in a fatal crash in Indianola Monday.

The crash happened in front of the Theisen's store on Highway 65, just north of downtown Indianola about 6:40 p.m.

Iowa State Patrol and Indianola police say that two vehicles were southbound on Highway 65, heading into downtown Indianola when a Jeep collided with a Chevrolet.

The maroon Jeep was thrown to the west side of the highway. The driver of the Jeep, identified as Nova Logsdon, 54, of Des Moines, was taken to the hospital.

The other vehicle, a red Chevy Cavalier, had six people inside.

Jimmy Johnson, 33, of Des Moines was killed in the crash.

The driver, 24-year-old Abigail Higgins, and another passenger, David Swigart, 30, of Indianola and three children were taken to a hospital in Des Moines.

Their conditions are not available.
