Oviedo, FL : Two people injured in a chain-reaction crash on Mitchell Hammock Road in OViedo on Monday afternoon, February 9, 2015

A high-speed crash closed Mitchell Hammock Road for several hours in Seminole County Monday.

Police said a man was speeding before 2 p.m. and crashed into other cars near Aloma Avenue. Both eastbound and westbound lanes were closed from Aloma Avenue to Clonts Street as police investigated.

The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. A woman in a second car was also treated for less serious injuries.

The road reopened just before 5 p.m.
