APPLE VALLEY, CA : 1 airlifted in rollover crash on Highway 18, several injured on Tuesday, 4th September 2018
Authorities airlifted one person to a trauma center following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 18 Tuesday afternoon.
Apple Valley Fire Protection District officials said one person was airlifted while several others were taken to local hospitals following the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Highway 18 and Corwin Road at 2:16 p.m. Tuesday.
Specifics on how the crash occurred are still unknown, but Apple Valley Fire Protection District Battalion Chief James Peratt said a total of four vehicles — a Ford Mustang, a Chevy pickup truck, a Jeep Cherokee and a small compact car — were involved.
“It was reported as a crash with extrication and one vehicle had flipped onto its roof,” Peratt said.
