Harrison, AR : One was injured in a two-vehicle crash on April, Thursday 20th 2017
No people, or cattle, injured in Wednesday morning crash
Arkansas State Police said no one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 65 North and none of the seven head of cattle one truck was hauling were injured either.
Trooper Michael Valentin said he didn’t have all the information with him regarding the specifics of the wreck when contacted by the Daily Times, but he did have the main points.
Valentin explained that a man in a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup was eastbound on Highway 62/412 and sitting at the stop sign on Highway 65 preparing to turn left and proceed north.
The driver of a 2015 Ford F-250 pickup hauling the cattle in a trailer was southbound on Highway 65 when the driver of the Sierra pulled into his path.
Valentin said the driver of the Ford swerved to the left to avoid the collision and hit the front of the Sierra rather than the driver’s door.
He also said two passing 18-wheeler drivers pulled their big rigs into a V formation and trapped the cattle against the median fence until staff from Cattlemen’s Livestock Auction arrived to round them up.
