Harrison,AR : No serious injuries reported in Sunday morning crash on September, Sunday 3rd 2017
A Harrison Police report shows no one was seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck about 11 a.m. Sunday at Bunker Road and Cottonwood Road.
According to the report by Ptl. Ryan Guffey, Donna S. Judy, 72, of Harrison was southbound on Cottonwood Road in a 2013 Cadillac SRX with 76-year-old James L. Judy as a passenger.
Mackenzie Rene’e Young, 15, of Harrison was stopped in a 2016 Dodge Journey facing eastbound on Bunker Road at its intersection with Cottonwood. Mary M. Young, 38, and 40-year-old Jearl Wade Hillis were passengers.
The report said the Journey entered the intersection, stopped, then accelerated to make it through the intersection. Donna Judy was unable to stop and the Cadillac hit the Dodge in the driver’s side door.
The impact forced the Young vehicle off the roadway. It rolled over on its top, coming to rest outside the southwest corner of the intersection, the report said.
The report said Mackenzie Young was taken to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment of a non-incapacitating injury.
Donna Judy also suffered minor injuries, but the report indicated she was not taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The report said the passengers had no apparent injuries.
Mackenzie Young was found at fault for failure to yield the right of way, Guffey’s report said.
