A crash this morning on I-75 had traffic at a standstill near mile marker 142 southbound. It happened around 8 a.m. between Bayshore Road and Palm Beach Boulevard. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Cemex cement truck rear-ended a F350 belonging to the Fountain Pools company on the Caloosahatchee Bridge. FHP confirmed to WINK News the driver of the F350, Francisco Silva, was getting out of the car when he fell off the bridge and into the water. Construction workers doing work under the bridge helped retrieve him from the water. He was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
