CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A serious multi-vehicle crash has claimed the lives of two South Mecklenburg High School students, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed.
According to South Mecklenburg High School Principal Mark Angerer, the two CMS students have been identified as seniors Kaia Hodge and Jada Cousins.
“We are heartbroken by this loss and grieve with Kaia and Jada’s family and friends,” Principal Angerer said on Friday. “This type of sudden loss is difficult to process, and oftentimes we experience physical, mental, and emotional reactions. Please take the time you need to process your feelings and remember to care for and support each other during this difficult time.”
