Three people died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Antrim Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.
A 2014 Chevrolet Spark and 2012 Toyota Camry collided at mile marker 4.5 in the southbound lanes just south of Greencastle’s interstate interchange at Exit 5, according to a state police news release.
The crash occurred at about 11:15 a.m.
Kristine R. Williamson, 49, of Hardy, Va., the passenger in the Camry, was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel with the Franklin County Coroner's Office, police said.
Raymond E. Beck, 49, the driver of the Spark, and his passenger, Rebecca Jean Beck, 48, both of Gloversville, N.Y., also were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Stephen C. Williamson, 52, of Hardy, the driver of the Camry, was taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
Police said the Spark was traveling north on I-81 when it crossed the median and continued into the southbound lanes of the highway.
Stephen Williamson swerved his car, but the Spark struck the Camry and pushed it onto the right shoulder of the road.
The Spark went airborne, struck an embankment and caught fire, police said.
I-81 southbound reopened at 2:15 p.m.
