RUTHERFORD, NJ : Driver charged, man critically injured in head-on crash on Tuesday, January, 9th 2018
Authorities say a woman driving the wrong way on a major New Jersey highway caused a head-on crash that critically injured the other driver.
Bergen County prosecutors say Soscia Salo faces assault by auto and drug possession charges.
Authorities say the 43-year-old Lyndhurst woman was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Route 17 in Rutherford when the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Salo and the other driver, a 65-year-old man whose name was not released, were both injured in the crash and had to be extricated from their vehicles. Salo was hospitalized in serious condition, while the other driver was in critical condition.
It wasn’t known Tuesday if Salo has retained an attorney.
