SAN DIEGO, CA : A woman suffered injuries in a horrific parasailing accident on Wednesday, 27th June 2018

A woman who suffered injuries in a horrific parasailing accident in Mexico has returned home to San Diego.

According to Fox 5, Katie Malone was celebrating her birthday in Puerto Vallarta earlier this month.A freak accident occurred when she decided to take a 10-minute parasailing ride.

An approaching storm created strong winds and the boat that was towing her flipped. The cable that kept Malone and the parasail connected to the boat was severed. For 45 minutes, she was whipped through the air, at the mercy of the intense gusts.
