GUILFORD COUNTY, NC : 1 dead after crash on NC-61 in Guilford County on Sunday, 14th April 2024

A person has died a day after a crash on NC-61 in Guilford County Sunday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said they were called to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Howerton Road around 11:15 a.m.

Investigators said 79-year-old Randel Dan Clark, of Bluff City, TN, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet west on Howerton Road and stopped at the intersection of NC-61. John Tyler Justice, 34, of Gibsonville, drove a 2009 Chevrolet north on NC-61. Clark failed to yield, pulled onto NC-61, and struck Justice in the intersection.
