Dickson, TN : One person died in wreck involving a tractor-trailer and several cars on I-40 near Dickson County on Friday, June 17, 2016

At least one person has died in a crash involving several cars and a tractor-trailer on I-40 in Dickson County.

The wreck occurred just west of the Highway 46 exit of I-40 near mile marker 172.

According to Dickson Police, sulfuric acid was spilled onto the interstate. Hazmat crews have been called to the area to assist in the cleanup.

Officials originally closed I-40 in both directions. The eastbound lanes have now reopened. Westbound lanes are expected to be closed until at least midnight, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's web site.
