CINCINNATI, OH : One dead, two injured seriously in hit-and-run crash on I-75 on Saturday, 26th December 2020

One person is dead and two others are in the hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash on I-75 North early Saturday morning, Cincinnati Police said.

According to CPD, Karmen Bailey, 31, crashed her car on I-75 North. The crash disabled her vehicle and left her facing south in the northbound lanes of traffic.

Jack Smith, 64, and Weal Sharaydeh, 51, both stopped to help Bailey when a 2019 Ford F150 crashed into Bailey's car while she was still inside and hit Smith and Sharaydeh, who were outside their vehicles.

Police said the driver of the F150 then took off on foot.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and Bailey and Sharaydeh were both taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where they remain in serious condition.

Cincinnati Police have not released what may have caused the initial crash, or any information on the suspected driver of the Ford F150.
