Citrus Springs, FL : One man dead and one injured after a vehicle crash on U.S. 41 in Citrus Springs on Sunday morning, March 22, 2015
One man was killed and another man is in serious condition after a vehicle collision Sunday morning in Citrus Springs.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report, Thomas Lee Braziel, 70, from Citrus Springs, was traveling southbound in a Ford Ranger on U.S. 41, north of West G. Martinelli Boulevard, around 11:30 a.m.
While driving, Braziel suffered a medical emergency, lost control of his vehicle, and hit an unoccupied, parked GMC Safari, the report stated.
The collision forced the Safari to strike pedestrian James Bornemann, 53, of Dunnellon.
Braziel’s vehicle continued south across West G. Martinelli, and collided with another unoccupied, parked car.
Braziel was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
Bornemann was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center and is listed in serious condition.
