Smithville, TN : Three-year-old airlifted after head-on crash on Monday, 17th October 2016

A head-on crash on Sparta Highway Monday resulted in a three year old being airlifted. According to Trooper Chris Delong of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Joey Young, 49, was traveling west on Highway 70 in a 1999 Ford F150 when a vehicle stopped in front of him. When he swerved to avoid hitting the vehicle, he reportedly crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an oncoming 2014 Toyota Prius driven by Virginia Kirby, 34, of Cookeville head-on.
