A Black River Falls man is facing charges after leading police on a high speed chase and then crashing his car.
It started just before 9:00 a.m. Monday.
The Monroe Co. Sheriff says Kegan Charles Fogleson, 19, fled from officers in Jackson Co. during a traffic stop. Fogleson had an outstanding probation hold arrest warrant.
The Wisconsin State Patrol became involved in the high speed chase on southbound I-94 and westbound I-90. Monroe Co. deputies then joined in on the pursuit with speeds reaching up to 100 mph.
The pursuit continued westbound until the 30 mile marker crossover at which time Fogleson crossed over into the eastbound lanes of I-90 and continued eastbound, ramming into a State Patrol vehicle.
Officers continued the high speed chase eastbound until the 36 mile marker when Fogleson lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a guard rail. He suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Sparta to be evaluated.
