Tallahassee, FL : Marianna teen killed in crash in Gadsden County Sunday night, February 26, 2017

A Marianna teen is dead after a crash in Gadsden County Sunday night.

Sydney Holland, 18, was killed when she failed to negotiate a turn on County Road 269 south of Chattahoochee in her 2011 Honda Accord around 8:10 p.m.

Holland drifted across the roadway into the northbound lane when her vehicle hit a culvert. The car then hit a tree before coming to rest on the eastern shoulder of the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

It is still pending whether alcohol played a factor in the crash. FHP reports Holland was wearing her seat belt.
