A Boca Raton woman was killed in a head-on crash on S.R. 415 early Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Ayana McGill, 21, was driving northbound near Colony Road in a 2006 Nissan at 12:55 a.m. when she moved into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota that had just passed another car, according to FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes.Mauricio Camacho, 22, the driver of the Toyota, had legally passed a car in front of him with passenger Lydia Medore, 18, and traveled back into the southbound lanes when he was struck by McGill, Montes said.
All three were taken to Halifax Medical Center.
Montes said Medore died from her injuries, according to the report.
McGill, of Sanford, received minor injuries, and Camacho, of Hallandale Beach, suffered serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation and charges are pending, Montes said.
