Port Charlotte, FL : Woman injured after a two-vehicle accident on SR-776 in El Jobean on Tuesday, Oct 6, 2015

An elderly female driver went to Lee Memorial Hospital by helicopter as a trauma alert patient after a two-vehicle accident on SR-776 in El Jobean, according to Charlotte County Fire and EMS.

A four-door sedan driven by the woman collided with a van, whose three occupants were taken by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The inside lanes of SR-776 were closed briefly.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
