Richland, MS : Simpson County woman killed in auto accident on Highway 49 Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2017

An 88-year-old Simpson County woman has died from injuries she sustained in an accident on Highway 49 Thursday afternoon. Billy May was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a Richland accident during rush hour.

The other vehicle was a pickup truck.

May was taken to the hospital by ambulance but died later from her injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
