Tinley Park, IL : 1 injured in school bus crash near Homer Glen on Wednesday, 7th September 2016

Oe person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries after a crash involving a school bus at 163rd Street and Gougar Road, near Homer Glen, Wednesday afternoon, Homer Township fire officials said.

The driver of a passenger car rear-ended a Homer School District 33C school bus, which only had one passenger at the time, officials said. The car sustained heavy damage and the driver had minor injuries. No one on the bus was hurt.

The accident occurred about 4 p.m. and the vehicles were cleared from the area within an hour, officials said.
