Jacksonville, OR : Two people dead in single car crash in Jacksonville on Tuesday January 12 2016.

Authorities in Jackson County say two people are dead after their car crashed into a semi trailer legally parked on the shoulder of the road in Jacksonville.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the car driven by 29-year-old Cassandre Lynn McClellan of Medford had been passing other vehicles at a high rate of speed minutes before the crash. McClellan and her passenger, 33-year-old Eric William Stanley of Jacksonville, both died at the scene.
The accident occurred on Tuesday at about 10 p.m. At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol are factors in the crash.
