Warsaw, NY : One dead, two injured after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 354 in Bennington on Thursday evening, December 4, 2014

One driver was killed and another driver and a child were hospitalized in Buffalo after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday evening on Route 354 in Bennington. According to state police and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s office, a driver heading west on Route 354 about 7 p.m. rear-ended a trailer pulling a combine and veered into the eastbound land and crashed head-on into another car. The driver who veered was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other car was flown to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. The child in that car was taken by ambulance to Buffalo’s Women and Children’s Hospital. The two injured persons were reported seriously hurt, and the investigation of the crash was continuing late Thursday. An accident reconstruction team was still on the site about 10 p.m. and Route 354 remained closed between Krieger and Sierk roads. Source : Fatal crash in Wyoming County
