Jefferson, GA : Two teen brothers died after a car wreck near Davis along I-35 on Thursday, Nov 19, 2015

Georgia State Patrol is investigating an accident that occurred Wednesday night during severe weather in Jackson County.The driver of a 2006 Corolla failed to yield the right of way while turning left, and was struck on the passenger side door by a 2006 Freightliner truck's bumper, according to authorities. Both vehicles left the west shoulder of the roadway and struck a ditch.The driver of the Corolla,17-year-old William Trimble, died after he was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. His passenger, 15-year-old, Alexander Trimble, died as a result of the crash.The Jefferson City Schools website showed photos in memory of the two students. Friends say the brothers had just left an area restaurant, where they were celebrating William's birthday."They were just there laughing, smiling and I wish I could relive those moments if I'd have known they were going to be the last moments of their life," said friend John Wheeler.The driver of the truck, 44-year-old Michael Vandiver, was injured and transported to Athens Regional Medical Center.
