Omaha, NE : One person dead, 1 critically injured after a fiery motorcycle crash near 41st and Madison on Monday night, April 25, 2016

A fiery motorcycle crash claimed at least one life near 41st and Madison on Monday night.

The crash was reported around 7 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Neighbors told KETV NewsWatch 7 they heard the collision. A woman said she tried to help after seeing part of the crash.

"I just remember seeing two people on the motorcycle, rolled in the street," said Kathy Wilson. "The motorcycle started on fire and the gentleman on the motorcycle started on fire."

Two people were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash, according to Omaha Police Sgt. Chuck Casey. The driver of the motorcycle was killed, and the other person on the motorcycle was transported to Nebraska Medicine with critical injuries.

A parked white truck was struck during the crash and caught fire. The driver of the truck isn't believed to be injured.

Wilson said she started CPR before paramedics arrived, but it was too late.

"You kind of thought, from the way it looked, that it wasn't going to be (a) good outcome, but you never know," Wilson said. "I was out there praying as I was doing it."

Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
