WARWICK, RI : Driver injured when car crashes into sanitation truck in Warwick on Monday 29th October 2018

A driver suffered serious leg injuries after he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a private sanitation truck heading the other way on Elmwood Avenue Monday morning, police here said.

The man was trapped in his Toyota sedan for more than 45 minutes as fire and EMS personnel worked to rescue him. He was taken to Rhode Island hospital for his injuries, police said.
