WALTON COUNTY, FL : 74-year-old Walton County man killed in hit-and-run while walking along his street on Monday, 18th November 2024

A 74-year-old Walton County man was killed in a hit-and-run Sunday afternoon while walking on the street where he lived.

The sheriff's office identified the man Monday as Charles "Lucky" Sydenstricker.

The crash took place on Nowling Road in DeFuniak Springs around 3:30 p.m.

Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal hit-and-run. But at this time, troopers have no leads on the vehicle involved.
