Foreston, MN : Two men dead after chain-reaction crash on Highway 23 in Mille Lacs County on Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2016

Two men are dead after a five-vehicle crash in Mille Lacs County.

The State Patrol says the crash happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 23 in Foreston.

The chain-reaction crash started when one driver rear-ended 35-year-old Travis Kiel of Foley. Kiel was driving a Kia eastbound and preparing to turn left when he was hit.

Kiel’s car then rolled into the westbound lanes of two oncoming motorcyclists.

One motorcyclist was killed. He’s been identified as 62-year-old Robert Ehrlichman of Holdingford. He died after his motorcycle became lodged in Kiel’s car.

The other motorcyclist was seriously injured.

Kiel also died in the crash.

The driver of the car that rear-ended Kiel and the driver of another vehicle involved were not hurt.
