An accident in New Bloomfield on Wednesday night totaled two cars and sent both drivers to the emergency room. Dawn Stilson, 29, of Holts Summit and Travis Wilbers, 20, of New Bloomfield were both driving on the U.S. Highway 54 westbound off ramp at Missouri Route J around 4:23 p.m. Wednesday when the accident happened. According the the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report, Wilbers failed to slow or stop for a stop sign. His vehicle went through the intersection and struck Stilson's car. Then, Wilbers' car ran off the road and Stilson's car flipped over, also running off the road. Stilson had minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary's Hospital.
