SACRAMENTO, CA : Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run in Sacramento on Thursday, 17th August 2023

A bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash in Sacramento, the Sacramento Police Department said Thursday.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. near Railyards Boulevard and Bercut Drive. Officers responded to reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.

At the scene, a man was in the roadway with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead by first responders. The man's identity has not yet been released.
