CICERO, NY : One woman has died in a crash on Route 298 in Cicero on February, Thursday 1st 2018

One woman has died in a crash on Route 298 in Cicero on Thursday, according to a Onondaga County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Jon Seeber. The woman was walking on Route 298 when she was hit, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.

Route 298 in Cicero between East Taft Road and Areopagitica Avenue has reopened after the crash shut down that portion of the road for an investigation, Seeber said. The crash happened at 5:23 p.m.

Deputies previously referred to the crash as fatal without releasing details about the victim.

More information will be released Friday morning, Seeber said.
