Decatur, TX : Man seriously injured in wreck on Friday, September 15th 2017

A man was transported to Medical City Denton with life-threatening injuries Friday following a wreck on Texas 101.
Department of Public Safety Trooper Patrick Garcia said the man, who was driving an 18-wheeler, was northbound on Texas 101, just north of Bridgeport, around 6 a.m. when he crossed the median for unknown reasons. He hit a southbound 18-wheeler, then his vehicle came to rest off the road after hitting a fence.
The driver of the southbound 18-wheeler was uninjured. The drivers’ names had not been released as of press time Friday.
In addition to DPS, Bridgeport fire and police, Wise County Emergency Medical Services and the Wise County Sheriff’s Office responded.
