Ontario,CA : Motorcycle crash on 10 Freeway in Rialto shuts two lanes on October, Friday 6th 2017

A crash involving a motorcycle shut down at least two lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway at Rancho Avenue on Friday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash was reported just after 12:30 p.m., according to the CHP incident log.

Fernanda M. Tovar, 22, of San Bernardino was driving behind the motorcycle rider when she said the motorcycle crashed into the back of a white Mercedes Benz, shattering the vehicle’s rear windshield.

Soon after impact, the motorcycle erupted into flames, she said.

“I went over to him and I was talking to him, trying to make sure he didn’t fall asleep or pass out,” she said in a social media exchange. “I was telling him, ‘Stay with me, I already called 911. They’re on their way.’ ”

Traffic was backed up past the 215 Freeway, according to traffic reports.
